Clasificarea oțelului pentru matrițe din plastic

Plastic mold steel can generally be divided into six categories: age hardening plastic mold steel (including mirror mold steel), corrosion-resistant plastic mold steel, carburized plastic mold steel, pre hardened embedded mold steel (including free cutting steel), Quenched and tempered plastic mold steel and hardened plastic mold steel. Age hardening plastic die steel, carburizing plastic die steel and pre hardening plastic die steel are widely used.

With the more and more extensive application of plastic products in industry and daily life, the demand of plastic mold industry for mold steel is also growing. In plastic molding and processing, the quality of the mold plays an important role in ensuring the product quality. At present, plastic molds have developed in the direction of precision, large-scale and multi cavity. The requirements for the performance of plastic mold steel are higher and higher. The performance of plastic mold steel should be determined according to the requirements of plastic type, product use, production batch, dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

1.2083 steel, also known as plastic mold steel. It contains over 15% chromium element, therefore it has excellent wear resistance, acid resistance, and polishing performance. In addition, it is also famous for its excellent processing performance. After quenching, its wear resistance is further improved, making it particularly suitable for electrical corrosion operations and plastic molds that require corrosion resistance, such as molds that require good polishing.

1.2316 steel is well-known for its high hardness (86-93 hra, equivalent to 69-81 HRC), good red hardness (up to 900-1000 ℃, 60 HRC), and excellent wear resistance. This steel has superior corrosion resistance, good thermal stress fatigue resistance, uniform material, and high clarity. Especially for molds that require high corrosion resistance, such as PVC molds, or molds used for making transparent, ytterbium surface products, 1.2316 steel is an ideal choice.

440C plastic mold steel, with its ultra-high hardness of 58-62HRC and passivation film formed by 16-18% chromium content, is mainly used in the field of precision molds that require both wear resistance and corrosion resistance, including semiconductor IC sealing molds (which need to withstand the acidic gas corrosion generated by plastic decomposition), medical device grade transparent plastic molds (such as syringe mold cavities), and food packaging molds (which meet FDA contact standards); The electric slag remelting version (440C-ESR) further enhances the ability to polish to mirror finish (Ra ≤ 0.05 μ m) through microstructure refinement, making it suitable for the manufacturing of optical lens molds and corrosion-resistant mold accessories. However, it should be noted that its low ability to withstand dynamic loads limits its application in high impact conditions.
